Bow(wow)ing to public pressure..........

Apparently *raises eyes heavenwards* there hasn't been enough coverage of small dog in recent posts.

I apologise wholeheartedly for this heinous omission and in order to curry favour with her multitude of fans, here she is in the garden earlier this evening, relaxing and kicking back after a game of ball.

Yes.

Yes I agree.

She is looking rather scruffy, and her fringe has something of an 'over one eye' Hitleresque quality about it which is neither flattering nor politically correct. So she has a trim to look forward to in the near future, which she will hate.

It's either that or we will be forced to tie her fringe up with a bow, which she will also hate as she would immediately have to withdraw from 'pawlite' society lest she be the subject of mocking derision.

Tough.

Sandra, small dog looks wonderful. I had the pleasure of being owned by a Miniature Yorkie for 15 years. If I let her hair grow I used to put the fringe up, so that she could see. She would then immediately rub her head on anything to get that Bow out..Small Dog reminds me so much of my Little Bisto..xxx

They are wonderful little characters aren't they?

I'd only ever had big dogs before and was quite resistant the notion of a small dog, but she has completely stolen my heart and I couldn't imagine my life without her.

You should stand in for Paul O'Grady when he has a day off!
You could have a special nodding dog made!
(or a nodding Sandra might be fun - lol)

She is such a little beauty - even with the Monday morning hair.

Brim full of personality too.

I love hearing stories about her and seeing pictures.

Not sure about her being a little beauty Joyce..her fringe is getting so long she's getting dreadlocks!

She's scheduled for a trim tomorrow morning and is already in a huff.
However a trim, wash and brush up will knock years off her...if we can only persuade her to cooperate.

God! A bow - and does she have any clothes too! You could, just for fun, make her look totally bonkers. Do it, do it, do it! Her dignity won't suffer, honest!
Remind me of being a new mum and coming to realisation that babies don't like being dressed up over and over again like Sindy dolls. Apparantly it annoys them.

Bev, the bow is a threat, used in extreme circumstances, eg her having to have a trim. We don't actually possess a bow......it's the small dog equivalent of the bogey man.

She does however have some clothes, mostly of the warm and cosy fleecy jumper variety, as she does get cold in the winter.
She tends to prefer to accessorise, with a range of colourful bandanas and collars, which she matches appropriately to the occasion.

She's probably better dressed than you and PP are.

Absolutely 100% yes to that.....

She could have a hair line mine :)
Mum tried to tame it with hair gel and it didn't work.
Good thing it's short enough not to bother any of us.
