Casting blues..........

I have been casting for 6 hours today.

6 HOURS!!!!

I now have a crashing headache, with little sparkly lights going off behind my eyes, stiff neck and my hands feel like they're made from sandpaper.

Casting slip is extremely porous, and strips all the moisture from my hands so that my skin gets very dry, rough and liable to cracking. Not even my intensive balm hand moisturiser is making any difference so I'll have to apply it every 30 minutes to attempt to prevent my hands looking like desiccated claws.

Still, at least they'd match my feet.

And I'm feeling disgruntled.

Usually after a marathon casting session I feel all warm and virtuous, basking in the knowledge of a task well done. Today I just feel whingey and poorly. I'm hoping PP will suggest I go for a little lie down with small dog for company, and bring me a cup of tea and my dinner on a tray.

I'm just not up to this full-on, full-day working thing.

Anyway here is my mood in a picture...........

I wish you that PP listen to your silent pledge.
There are such days when verything seems awful, I try to think that they are onl occasional and cast them away. But headache is really destroying. Cannot you stop and relax a bit? get well soon

Sorry you are feeling a bit done in after yesterdays mammoth casting chore. Sounds as if it should be a Sandra day today with lots of cuddles with small dog and cups of tea... hand delivered of course.

Good thoughts for good days on the way.

Rosanna, thanks for the kind comment but sadly I'm way behind with work at the moment so time off is not an option.

Kay, chance would be a fine thing. I've done a full morning's casting already today, and am on a brief lunch break now before launching into another this afternoon :-(

As for small dog, she is currently curled up on PP's lap oblivious to my distress. Just wait till she decides to court my favour later when I'm having my tea break. I shall completely ignore her pleading eyes and scoff the entire biscuit. Ha! That'll teach her.

Sounds like you need a holiday.

Do I ever........

Only two weeks till our next camping trip though.

Woohoo!!

When is your "big" holiday?

'Big' holiday has been put on temporary hold :-(

We should have been be heading up north for most of June, but PP, although much better after her cardiac scare earlier this year, is simply not up to the rigours of such a lengthy trip, and neither am I. We could get away with one of us not firing on all cylinders but it would be too precarious if both of us were under par. So we've decided to postpone it till a later date.

Awww that's a shame. I was looking forward to meeting small dog.
