This morning the skies are resolutely grey, leaden and threatening.
Just heard on the radio that over 80 flood warnings have been posted across England and we're expecting extremely heavy rain later today and over the weekend.
Ah..... it's just starting now. I can hear the increasingly noisy drumming of rain on the porch roof.

Or visit Washington DC/ Virginia, where you won't know from one week to the next whether a strong wind will knock out all power and most phone lines ...how is Small Dog handling the weather?..

Small Dog is most definitely a fair weather hound. She hates getting wet in the rain and doesn't like the wind either.... she tends to lie down flat and refuses to move.
